Psalm Chapter 55

But I will call upon God, and the Lord will rescue me. Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice. He ransoms me and and keeps me safe from the battle waged against me, though many oppose me. God, who has ruled forever, will hear me and humble them. For my enemies refuse to change their ways they do not fear God. (vv. 16-19, NLT)

Psalm Chapter 51

Have mercy on me, O God, because of Your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night. Against You, and You alone, have I sinned. I have done what is evil in Your sight. You will be proved right in what You say, and Your judgment against me is just. (vv. 1-4, NLT)

Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me , andI will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; You have broken me-now I rejoice. Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt.

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from Your presence, and don’t take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of You salvation, and make me wiling to obey You. (vv. 7-12, NLT)

Psalm Chapter 46

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when the earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored in every nation. I will be honored throughout the world. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is hear among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. (vv. 10-11, NLT)

Psalm Chapter 42

As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before Him? Day and night, I have only tears for food, while my enemies continually taunt me, saying, “Where is this God of yours? (vv. 1-3, NLT)

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise Him again-my Savior, My God! (v. 5, NLT)

Psalm Chapter 40

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done an be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.

Oh, the joys of those who trust in The Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols. O Lord my God, You have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. (vv. 1-5, NLT)

But may all who search for You be filled with joy and gladness in You. May those who love Your salvation repeatedly shout, “The Lord is great!” As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in His thoughts. You are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay. (vv. 16-17, NLT)

Psalm Chapter 39

Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered-how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to You; at beast each of is is but a breath.

We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. we heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in You. (vv. 4-6, NLT)

Psalm Chapter 37

Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they will soon fade away.. Like spring flowers, they soon weather.

Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust in Him, and He will help you. He will make you innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. Don’t worry about the evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

Stop being angry! Turn from you rage! Do not lose your temper-it only leads to harm. (vv. 1-8, NLT)

Psalms Chapter 36

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is Your unfailing love, O God!

All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of Your wings. You feed them from the abundance of Your own house, letting them drink from Your river of delights. For You are the fountain of life, by which we see.

Pour out Your unfailing love on those who love You; give justice to those with honest hearts. Don’t let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around. Look! Those who do evil have fallen! The are thrown down, never to rise again. (vv. 5-12, NLT)

Psalms Chapter 34

I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt His name forever. (vv. 1-3, NLT)

Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord. Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

The eyes of the Lord watch those who do right; His ears are open to their cries of help. But the Lord turns His face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.

The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues them whose spirits are crushed. (vv. 11-18, NLT)

Calamity will surely overtake the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished. But the Lord will redeem those who serve Him. No one who takes refuge in Him will be condemned. (vv. 21-22, NLT)

Psalms Chapter 33

Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord; it is fitting and pure to praise Him. Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre, make music for Him on the ten-stringed harp. Sing a new song of praise to Him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy. For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. (vv. 1-5, NLT)

The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken. With joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people He has chosen as His ineritance.

The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From His throne He observes all who live on the earth. He made their hearts, so He understands everything they do. (vv. 10-15, NLT)

But the Lord watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine.

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone. (vv. 18-22, NLT)
