Facts about Cain

(After Cain murdered Able) “But the Lord said, ‘What have you done? Listen! Your bother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground! Now you are cursed and banished from the ground, which has swallowed up your brother’s blood. No longer will the ground yield good crops for you, no matter how hard you work! From now one you will be a homeless wanderer on the earth.’

Cain replied to the Lord, ‘My punishment is too great for me to bear! You have banished me from the land and from Your presence; You have made me a homeless wanderer. Anyone who finds me will kill me!’

The Lord replied, ‘No, for I will give a sevenfold punishment to anyone who kills you.’ Then the Lord put a mark on Cain to warn anyone who much try to kill him. So Cain left the Lord’s presence and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Cain had sexual relations with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Then Cain founded a city, which he named Enoch, after his son. Enoch had a son named Irad. Irad became the father of Mehujael. Mehjujael became the father of Methushael. Methusael became the father of Lamech.

Lamech married two women. The first named Adah, and the second was Zillah. Adah have birth to Jabal, who’s the first of those who raise livestock and live in tents. A Call to Remain Faithful

“But you , my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said. They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires. These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.

And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.” (Jude vv. 17-23, NLT)

Live in Truth

“How happy I was to meet some of your children and find them living according to the truth, just as the Father commanded.

I’m writing to remind you, dear friends, that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning. Love means doing what God has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.

I say this because many deceivers have gone to Ito the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

If anyone comes to your meeting and does not teach the truth about Christ, don’t invite that person into your home or give any kind of encouragement. Anyone who encourages such people becomes a partner in their evil work.” (2 John: vv. 4-11, NLT)
